Chapter 1: Event Overview

Are you acquainted with a high school student? Perhaps someone who is enthusiastic about technology or spends time on their laptop or desktop? If you answered "Yes" to any of these inquiries, then you might want to share the following opportunity with them:

The Bronco Cybersecurity Club (BCC) at Western Michigan University is organizing a hackathon designed for high school students (grades 9-12) on Saturday, April 13th, from 9 AM to 2:30 PM. The event will take place at the College of Engineering and Applied Science Building (4601 Campus Drive, Kalamazoo, MI 49008), with check-in commencing at 8:45 AM sharp.

This hackathon will feature engaging activities and workshops, allowing participants to either collaborate in teams or compete individually for exciting prizes. Additionally, CISCO will host a "capture the flag" (CTF) challenge, where students will race to claim the flag. The primary aim is to educate and inspire both students and parents about the significance of cybersecurity in today's society.

Lunch and T-shirts will be provided to all participants. We warmly invite parents and guardians to join us!
