Yet, once I purchase and consume the snack, reality sets in, and I find myself regretting my lack of self-control.
Preparation is key. Recognizing that this scenario will unfold allows me to fortify my defenses before even entering the space.
I must ask myself:
- What motivates my desire to lose weight?
- What are my specific goals?
- Why do these goals hold significance for me?
This clarity is crucial when establishing goals. Otherwise, my cunning brain may exploit vulnerabilities and conjure distractions that lead me astray. The reasons behind your objectives serve as both sword and shield against temptation. Keep them visible and accessible—whether on a sticky note in your car, as your phone's home screen, or written in your journal each morning. Get creative!
