The Earth as the Heart Chakra of the Universe: A Cosmic Perspective
Written on
Chapter 1: Embracing Existence
Hello friends! How are you all doing? I hope life is treating you well. Last week, I shared a tale about engaging with the world around us, and I sincerely hope you took that to heart.
But why do we even bother? What’s the significance behind our actions, our pursuits, and our endeavors? Sometimes, it can seem futile to take risks, express gratitude amid challenges, or strive for the best when everything feels pointless.
I often reflect on how stepping back to appreciate the vastness of existence simplifies our lives. We are just a tiny speck in an endless universe, and taking a moment to admire nature’s grandeur helps us discern what truly matters.
This perspective can ease the burden of those heavy, anxiety-laden choices we face. But what if it’s not the monumental decisions that are crucial? What if the real significance lies in the mundane?
What if our existence on this planet, this ongoing pandemic, and every action we take—whether we realize it or not—advances the human race?
A fascinating notion I encountered recently from the revolutionary holistic physician Dr. Zach Bush, who shares profound insights about humanity, natural systems, and the spiritual cosmos on The Aubrey Marcus Podcast, suggests:
“Is it possible that the unique human experience, with its rapid cycling between love and despair, places us at the energetic core of the universe?” Dr. Bush posits.
“When we revive individuals in critical care, they consistently recount extraordinary experiences during their brief moments of death—their multi-dimensional journeys and the clarity of beings they encounter on the other side are simply astounding.”
What, then, is the essence of life on Earth? Is it the array of human experiences we embody—consciousness, love, pain, fear, joy, beauty, and wonder?
Dr. Bush proposes that perhaps the universe has its own chakra points, much like the human body, and our little planet occupies a pivotal position.
“Could it be that the myths we label as religion hold truth because we are significant—not as mere humans, but as a chakra center capable of altering the universe's vibrations?”
“What if the fate of humanity is of great concern to the universe because stabilizing this chakra center could transform everything?”
Could it be that we represent the heart chakra of the universe, and our presence here serves a greater purpose?
I admit, I’m still a novice in understanding chakra systems—those seven energy wheels from Hindu Vedic teachings. The fourth chakra, known as anahata or the heart chakra, resides just below the rib cage, bridging the lower and upper chakras.
This chakra is typically depicted by two interlocking triangles forming a six-pointed star, symbolizing love and compassion.
Sadhguru, the mystic and humanitarian, articulates:
“What we perceive as the individual—that is you—is striving upwards, represented by the upward-facing triangle, while the source of creation or the Divine is depicted by the downward-facing triangle.”
Life on Earth aims to flourish; just as a tree stretches towards the sun, we humans are driven to fulfill our potential. This pursuit manifests in various forms, and often, we unknowingly compare ourselves to what we could become.
In today’s world, it’s easy to equate success with wealth and influence, but what if our true ascent towards the divine—however you interpret it, be it God, Source, or even an idol—hinges not on our financial status, but the depth of our compassion?
What if these small acts of kindness—being gentle with ourselves, voicing our thoughts, or simply smiling at a stranger—carry profound significance?
For each of our hearts beats not only for ourselves but for all humanity, and perhaps humanity’s heartbeat resonates with the entire universe.
It’s crucial that we delve into what it means to exist, to embrace our limitless potential, to take risks and explore our world, and to introspect deeply.
It matters that we open our hearts to all life on Earth. Perhaps our significance transcends our understanding, and it benefits us to act as if this is indeed the truth.

What I’m Reading:
Faust, by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe is a literary masterpiece penned by one of history's greatest thinkers, the 18th-century German poet and novelist. This translation of the classic satire is quite accessible, and I’m enjoying it immensely!

“Have you ever felt paralyzed by ambition?” asks Paris-based creative Shab Ferdowsi in her article on Medium.com.
“A dream so daunting that you couldn’t even share it with your closest friends? Instead, you drifted aimlessly, following others while your dream lay dormant?”
No further reading is required. Even without knowing much about Shab, it’s clear we belong to the same tribe. We’ve gained immense wisdom from our guests who bravely navigate the unknown and emerge with their spirits intact. We are thankful to receive their teachings.
However, it’s truly invigorating to connect with dreamers like us who are courageously charting their paths, seeking what ignites their souls. Shab embodies this spirit—a writer, photographer, and creative visionary who has stopped living someone else's dream. She declares: “No more floating. I want to surf.”
This conversation felt like catching up with an old friend about life’s true essence. We hope it inspires you as much as it inspired us.

This image encapsulates it all. Japan 2019, the year of the sideburn, captured by my dear friend Morgan Hathorn. I’m eager to reconnect with nature. Until then, that’s a wrap for this week, fam! Cherish the little things, spread kindness, and act as if your actions hold more weight than we can ever know. Or don’t! I’ll love you either way.
