# Embracing a Slower Pace: Finding Balance in a Hectic World

Chapter 1: The Quest for Presence
In the spirit of the new moon, I've decided to focus on being more mindful in my everyday life. Recently, I've felt quite unsteady, with my thoughts swirling as I attempt to juggle numerous responsibilities without making real progress on any of them.
Even though I maintain a sense of tranquility, my life seems to be a whirlwind, with countless tasks competing for my attention. It's as if I'm perpetually on the run from an invisible threat, feeling the need to move rapidly to avoid being caught.
Yet, there’s no actual threat—no finish line to reach. I find myself hurrying for the sake of it, without any clear goal in mind.
The day before the new moon, I gathered with a few friends to set intentions and engage in heartfelt conversations. As we shared our life experiences and challenges, I came to realize just how much I overload myself on a daily basis.
My drive to improve stems from a desire to grow and better support those around me, but I recognize that I may be pushing myself too hard. It's been a while since I've allowed my mind to rest, and I’ve become accustomed to a busy schedule filled with incomplete tasks.
I feel like a computer, constantly switching from one task to another, with no time to pause.
This reflection led me to question: Why am I in such a rush? Who or what is pursuing me? The reality is that the only thing chasing me is my own self-imposed pressure. I often feel as if life has set deadlines for me, compelling me to accomplish as much as I can in a limited time frame, lest I miss future opportunities.
I sometimes forget one of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned from my experiences with psychedelics: everything unfolds in its own time.
I can't dictate when things will go according to my plans, nor can I hasten the natural progression of my life. Instead, I must have faith that what is meant for me will arrive when I'm ready to embrace it. Control is an illusion in this regard.
Rather than racing against the clock, I can choose to remain grounded and focused, managing what I can within the time I have. The outcome is likely to be similar, but with far less stress and anxiety.
As one of my friends wisely noted, I’m prepared to embrace the flow of life. I aim to let it guide me, floating along the current instead of straining against it.
I trust that everything I wish to achieve will manifest in due time—and I am at peace with that.
I’m ready to flow.
